Hot and Muggy

Showers overnight, then the sun came out in the early morning and it got hot, with very little breeze on this side of the island. Spent the morning on the beach with a nice long snorkel. Went further north than I had before and found lot of nice coral down near the next dock. Got a couple of decent pictures.

Spotted Porcupine fish
Some type of Sea Anemone

I don't remeber the name of this last picture, I think it has something to do with Christmas Tree. The porcupine fish was pretty shy, he was hiding under a ledge while I was hovering behind it. Every minute or so he would come and peek out to see if I was still there. It took a few times for me to get a decent picture before he ducked back under his ledge.

Took Glen and Mandy up to the Turrets where we had stayed two years ago. The views are pretty impressive from the top of the hill there. We had planned to hit up the vegetable truck in West End but we found one here that was cruising along the residental area, so we got our produce quite easily. The parking lot and the pathway down to our favourite little beach where Smugglers used to be was all roped off, so it looks like there is not any public access anymore. We then took the low road to Coxen Hole and went for lunch at a place called Port Side. The sign said they were open but the place looked pretty deserted. I finally tried a couple of doors, the first lead into a kitchen, and the second one seemed to be locked. There were two parrots in a cage outside the door, and one of them kept saying "Knock, Knock". The door opened and this guy came out. He said if we were here he got make lunch for us, so we went in. Glen, Mandy, and Eileen had the fish which they all thought was wonderful, actually Eileen raved about it and wants to do a trip advisor review for this place. I had a shrimp pasta which was pretty good too.

Carried on to the grocery store to stock up and then went home via West End where I put myself down for a couple of morning dives. Late afternoon on the deck then a supper at Tongs Thai in West End, which is consistently good, with a few left overs for tomorrows lunch. Pretty quiet night in West End, but back at home we can now hear some live music playing, which must be coming from the Barefoot Bar at this end of West End.

Only firm plans for tomorrow are for the morning dives then probably a pizza night in West Bay, which we plan to walk to.
