We decided that it was time for a budget friendly, clean up the fridge kinda day. A good bacon and eggs brekkie with some left over hashbrowns, cleaned up a watermelon plate, then re-filled it with the other half of the melon. We were going to walk to West Bay in the morning but we had a couple of good showers so we decided to let them pass before we headed out. We ended up spending the morning lazing about around the house and beach. Right after breakfast we heard a lot of squawking and knew there were Scarlet Macaws nearby. Three flew up and landed right above the deck. As soon as they left, three more flew over. We had gotten used to seeing them in Costa Rica, but they are still beautiful birds and quite a sight.

Checked out the car headlights and found that the entire light assembly on the really wonky one has considerable play. I pushed it back into position but it remains to be seen if it stays that way after the next pothole. I never checked to see if I could wedge something into a spot to keep it from moving. We'll check after the first drive tomorrow.
Lunch at home with Eileens black bean soup (good despite ingredient challenges) as well as other fridge emptying extras. Another short shower then we headed to West Bay. Sun came out with a vengeance on the way there, wish I had not forgotten the sunglasses. Stopped at the roastery and picked up a couple of pounds of coffee. I think this is really fresh because it loked like they were all set up to grind, except that the power had gone out just before we had left the house. We needed a cool down so we had to stop at Infinity Bay for a beer in the shade. That tasted pretty good. Glen and Mandy finished early and went a bit further down the beach for a snorkel. Glen left his camera in the backpack with me, so there are no pictures. Mandy loved the snorkel.
We followed them up the beach a bit later and had a drink at the Grand Roatan while they finished up the snorkel. This is a new condo development in a rather prime beach location, as long as you can tolerate the cruise shippers on their days. Nice set up though and great bar service.

Grilled grouper for supper, not the greatest but we all got filled up. The resident bats were starting to stir when I lit the BBQ. Picture is from the overhang above the front door.
Tomorrow we are hoping to meet an old acquaintance for an afternoon beer, and to make a golf booking, one way or another. Steve seems to have other interests so we haven't run into him for several days, so we'll wing it.
