We're in Roatan!!

Wow, is this house big!!!! and there aren't many straight aways....Hope I don't get lost going to the bathroom in the dark tonight....Lots of new things, strange light switches and foreign door locks.  We spent ten minutes tonight trying to lock the front door tonight and finally went inside, locked it with the interior deadbolt and then exited through the backdoor, which locked easily.  Just had to navigate along a stone wall through the garden to get back up to the steps up to the driveway.  We'll get it figured out someday.
Had a few challenges getting here.  The printers were down at the check in desk at Saskatoon so they hand printed our boarding pass, and tagged our luggage through to Houston.  Told us to get a printed boarding pass at the counter after we cleared security.  That was fine except they couldn't get us the boarding pass for Denver and told us to get one there.  No big deal although it meant going back out to the public area in Denver and re-checking.  Again no big deal just a few escalators up and down and up and down and ....Made our flight no problem and luggage was in Houston although we were an hour late because we sat on the plane for an extra hour in Denver to wait for some passengers from a cancelled flight.....Got to Houston at 11, frick was it hot and muggy there.  Such a contrast to last year when it was just above freezing.  Checked in at Houston this morning........because we didn't get our boarding pass in S'toon the system thought we must have gone AWOL and cancelled our itinerary.  That's twice we've had some Houston grief.  After a half hour of the agent on the help line we got straightened out but she warned there will be grief on the return.  We might not have a return on the system....ahhhh shucks.  Suck it up McArthur, I'll get there when I get there.  I must still have four weeks holiday on the books.....
Apparently a lot of rain in the last few days, including this morning but mostly sunny and just a wee bit muggy for us.  Hopefully that has passed....
Joseph was waiting at the airport with our car, not the same red beast we had last year, but about the same generation of vehicle.  Seems to run just fine.  Headed straight to French Harbour, beer depot was first, they had crates of Port Royal two of which ended up in the back seat.  The mall was next, I hit the TIGO store and got the internet stick refreshed, Eileen went to Claro and got the cell phone up and running.  Bulk Gourmet was next, we hadn't been there before but I was sure how to get there,  Just past the hardware store and make a right, the same turn we took for the shrimp last year (not doing that again).  Found TBG right away and sure enough they had a case of wine set aside for us.  Fifteen bottles of one of Eileens favourites $120.  Good deal.  Taste test tonight confirmed that it's a good buy.
Hit the new Eldons supermarket in Coxen Hole, an exact replica of the one in French Harbour.  Has everything you could want.  Not sure what the Warrens supermarket thinks, they're about 200 metres apart.  Bet they're not on each others xmas list.
Stopped at the rental agency office in Sandy Bay, had a young lady come out to the house to show us around, and here we are.  Got unpacked, had a couple of Port Royals and a glass of Beringers, and then went to Smugglers for dinner.   Eileen had a marinated steak and I had a Tequila lime marinated shrimp skewer, both delicious.
Sounds like there are going to be Superbowl specials happening all over the place on Sunday.  We're hoping that 2CanDo are doing another pre-superbowl gig at Infinity Bay, which we won't miss, then we'll graviatate back to Smugglers for a meal and at least some of the game.
Forgot; we ran into four people in Houston this morning that we hung out with the last two years here, we just call them Conneticut.  They're still giving Eileen a hard time over the meeting that we had at the Rotissere Chicken place after I got the three girls off the susnst booze cruise last year.  They might come on the Catamaran on the 18th with us....
Tomorrow; probably West End.  See what the construction is like, check out the dive shop situation, hit up Bonnie at CocoLobo, get some fresh fruit and veges off the trucks, and who knows what else.  Gotta hook up with Shawnda, just two doors down.
So good to be back....
