The Sun Came Out!

It poured and poured rain all night but let up in the morning.  Not much doing in the moring as the runoff has silted everything up.  From the upper deck you can see a red cloud in the ocean from all the sediment that is hanging in the water.  We headed off for our morning walk and had a few surprises, most seriously was a huge washout on main street West End.  A couple of pictures are attached.  You will notice the SUV that is sitting at the bottom of the washout with the roof at about street level.  someone has said that therre has been 19 inches of rain here in the last few days..........
A little suntanning this afternoon, a quick trip to the bakery to order a few loaves of bread for tomorrow (our last day with the car), we had the bread today for breakfast and lunch, it was great.
Supper tonight was tapas night at Tranquil Seas in Sandy Bay.  I've never done a tapas supper and that was different.  I really enjoyed that.  All the orders are sort of appetizer size, so the six of us ordered twelve different dishes.  Our favourite was the warm duck salad with walnuts and apple.  The clams weren't far behind in the ratings (Eileen says that the bacon wrapped asparagus was too).  To top it off, the band that we know was playing in the restaurant, playing lots of Cat Stevens type music.  We know the drummer and tonight clued in that the singer is the owner of the Coco Lobo resort, which is next door to us.
Looking forward to a good weather day today.
