First dive picture

Another perfect weather day in Roatan.  Sunny, hot and a light breeze.  Eileen and I started the day off with a nice long walk down to West Bay and back which took almost two hours. Parts of me are looking a little red tonight, but that's not too unusual.  The girls did a refresher dive course and then took off on a dive, which surprised me.  We had booked the afternoon dive but since they were already geared up, off they went.  Eileen and I were just getting ready to make lunch when we saw them waving at us from the boat as it cruised past the house.  So we cooked all the shrimp that we'd thawed out anyway (we did take some more out of the freezer for them to cook when they got back).  I went out on the afternoon dive and really enjoyed it.  It was a shallower dive through some very interesting coral with lots of sand channels.  Saw a big eagle ray swimming past us, although he was probably about 50 feet below us.  The picture below is of a moray eel, which was in the 4-5 foot long range.  That might be the biggest one I've ever seen.  They can look quite vicious so I wasn't going in for a close up.
Went back to the Thia restaurant which is where Eileen and I went the first night.  Ordered too much food again, which combined with a good margarita, has put Eileen in bed again before 9:30.  Oh well, we're on holidays.  Stopped in at the floating bar and picked up tickets for tomorrow nights sunset booze cruise.  They untie the bar from the dock and cruise up to West Bay from 4-7 pm.  Should be a lot of fun.  They told us to bring our snorkel gear and the fishing rods.....   (9:00 am dive booked for the three of us, although Dylainas ears may cut that back to two of us.
Moray eel, not the cutest creature
