Our first full day on the island. Just as nice as I remembered. Was an early awakening, not out of necessity but habit. Sat on the deck with coffee and enjoyed a peaceful morning watching the island wake up. Brian went for his first dive - saw three turtles. Took a water taxi down to West Bay and had a few drinks with Genny and met many of her friends at a pre-Superbowl party that her husband was playing drums at. She is the daughter of someone Brian works up north and through some communication via internet, - blogs etc. she wanted to meet up with us. She hasn't seen her father for 25 years and because of us coming down here and Brian talking about it at work with her dad, he is actually coming down in April for a visit. Kind of special. Most bars busy tonight with superbowl parties. Went to the Lighthouse for supper and met our favourite bartender from last year. Love the small town feel of this place.
